Kitimat to Get New Mayor

Kitimat will have a new mayor once municipal elections are over next month.

Long-time mayor Rick Wozney has chosen not to seek re-election.

Nominations closed today at 4:00 pm.

Two current council members have filed papers seeking the mayor's job -- Linda Campbell and Joanne Monaghan.

Eight candidates, including many incumbents, are running for councillor seats:
