Three Run for Mayor in Terrace

Terrace Mayor Jack Talstra has two challengers for his job in next month's municipal election.

First-time city councillor Dave Pernarowski wants to be mayor too, as does commercial pilot Murray Hamer.

Talstra has been mayor of Terrace since 1985.

Ten people have also been nominated to vie for seats as city councillors in the November 15th balloting.

They include the rest of the incumbents: Lynne Christiansen, Marylin Davies, Brian Downie, Carol Leclerc and Brad Pollard, along with Bruce Bidgood, James Cordeiro, Lance Dettwiler, Lorrie Gowen and Bruce Martindale.
