BC Elders Gathering Hits Terrace Next Week

Nisga'a leaders continue to prepare for next week's B-C Elders Gathering to be held in Terrace.

About three thousand people are expected to converge on the city for the 33rd annual event which runs from Monday through Wednesday.

The gathering will feature a wide variety of informative sessions on healthcare and other issues affecting first nations communities across B-C.

The Tsimshian will take part in a ceremony Monday morning as the Nisga'a ask them for permission to host the event on their traditional territory.
